Spring is Relationship Time!

Whether you are searching for that someone that lights you up for the summer or looking toward a deep, long term love-Spring is the time to make that a goal.  Been with the partner of your choice for a decade? Spring breathes new life into old habits and patterns that may need to have the dust shaken off.  Consider the fact that Spring brings a certain biology that affects every mammal. Endorphins are flowing, sunshine perks up your biorhythms and the increase pulse of the Earth is a perfect invitation to get up and get going. Would you like a fast track method of sorting out the "best one" for you?  How about some deeper, more interesting questions to discuss after you have shared, "what was in the mail today?" and "when's dinner?"  Make a date, sit back and get ready to infuse some new Spring energy into your relationships.  I have also used the following questions for couples seeking a more meaningful or less conflictual communication pattern.  The answers can lead to a fascinating rapport or clearly outline; "that's not the one for me!"  I had an amusing text from a lady who reported great results from these questions. The potential gentleman she had in mind replied to the question, "What are you most grateful for?" with the response, "My hair."  She quickly finished her cup of coffee and left believing she saved herself an evening of indecision about whether she would pursue another date.  It's also a good time to upgrade your relationship with yourself.  How about asking yourself for some answers...

1. Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?

2. Would you like to be famous?

3. Before making a telephone call, do you ever rehearse what you are going to say? Why?

4. What would constitute a “perfect” day for you?

5. When did you last sing to yourself? To someone else?

6. If you were able to live to the age of 90 and retain either the mind or body of a 30-year-old for the last 60 years of your life, which would you want?

7. Do you have a secret hunch about how you will die?

8. Name three things you and your partner appear to have in common.

9. For what in your life do you feel most grateful?

10. If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?

11. Take four minutes and tell your partner your life story in as much detail as possible.

12. If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be?

Have fun with this and plant the seed of a relationship that can grow even stronger into the winter!
