Where in your daily life do you have choices that support your healthy DNA?
It all starts with clean food. Then get specific in your choices that will support that genomic switch I spoke of in the previous article. Diabetes, cancers, obesity, hormone disruption have all been studied from a DNA lens and traced back to food that has been changed to the point of removing from the life giving cycle of human tissue. Our animals are also given expensive products that are not what the label describes.
Aside from products and chemicals that are added to food during production ( save that for another day!) GMO is the most disruptive in our clean eating goal.
GMO stands for genetically modified organism. The most familiar genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are modified with transgenic techniques, which have been available since the mid-90s. These GMOs are essentially living organisms whose genetic material has been artificially manipulated in a laboratory through genetic engineering, creating combinations of plant, animal, bacteria, and virus genes that do not occur in nature or through traditional crossbreeding methods. Products of new genetic engineering techniques (e.g., CRISPR, TALEN, RNA interference, ODM, and gene drives) are also GMOs.
The first experiment was infusing frog skin into tomatoes with the intention of strengthening the skin for transportation ease and longer shelf life at the grocery store. This was a great success as the tomato could be dropped from a second story window and not split the “frog” skin!
What about seedless watermelons?
Are they GMO? No. Genetically modified organisms are different in how they were changed from crops that have been bred using traditional cross breeding methods. GMOs are only created through the use of genetic engineering or biotechnology, not through processes that could occur in nature.
Experiencing vague illness like brain fog, fatigue, pain, inflammation, and even fibromyalgia?
It’s possible these illnesses are due to environmental sensitivity which can include, you guessed it, food! When people with genetic weaknesses are exposed to a major stress, usually in the form of chemical exposure, they can lose tolerance to substances that they normally would not react toward. Suddenly, smells, chemicals, certain foods that they were not sensitive to, will create life-changing, vaguely defined illnesses.
Need an extra boost starting out? Pair with Porphyra-Zyme used to detox from heavy metals. Start with 4 tablets 3 times a day on an empty stomach for three days.
Toleraid is geared to deal with supporting epigenetics, it will be lifetime support! Small amounts can have huge effects. I recommend taking 2 a day between 9 and 10 am.
Every day right next steps:
Identify how produce is grown by reading its label or sticker number:
4-digit number means food was conventionally grown.
5-digit number that begins with a 9 means produce is organic.
5-digit number that begins with an 8 means it is genetically modified.
2. Know which foods are commonly added to products that are 90% most likely engineered:
Soybeans and soy products such as soy lecithin, soy protein, isolated soy, soy flour, etc. Soy is the most heavily modified food and is also commonly used as an additive. If the label says it contains soy, then it contains GMO. If you consume soy products such as tofu or soymilk, make sure the labeling states that the tofu or soy beans are organic. Down to Earth is a great product check company that will allow it’s approval mark of a butterfly on the product. Most are also organic.
Corn and corn-based products. Corn is also a heavily modified food (with the exception of popcorn). Best to look for products that say “100% organic.” Corn derivatives include corn starch, high-fructose corn syrup, modified food/corn starch, corn oil, etc. This is the product measured as the most likely source of obesity and diabetes.
Canola oil. Virtually all canola oil (or grapeseed oil) grown in the world (except in the EU) is from genetically engineered crops.
Dairy products. Many dairy farms give cows the genetically modified growth hormone rBGH or rBST to increase milk production. Look for dairy products labeled as r-BGH/rBST-free. Better yet, buy organic milk and dairy products to also avoid GMOs and pesticides.
Sugar beets. Product labels containing “sugar” can be from either cane sugar or sugar beets. So to avoid beet sugar, look for products with ingredients that say evaporated cane sugar, organic sugar or cane sugar.
Aspartame. Aside from being an unnatural, unhealthy artificial sweetener, it is made from GMOs. Aspartame is found in products such as “Equal”, “NutraSweet,” sugar-free gum, and diet sodas and beverages.
Once put into law, there will be three different labeling methods:
Text on food packaging (example: Partially produced with genetic engineering)
A symbol that represents bioengineering.
An electronic or digital link that can be scanned.
For example:
Gluten intolerance = gmo wheat intolerance, peanut allergies=peanuts had CryIA gene transformed into the peanut with improved efficiency against cornstalk borer (Singsit et al. 1997). Although the current peanut tests as 99.96 identical to the ancient peanut (according to scientists defending use of gene insertion) how can anyone imagine that a genetic skew of .04 is anything other than a child born with changes from the norm and the live ones sensitive to the chemicals that kill the cornstalk borer?
The list is endless-but please be most alert for soy. It is almost #1 the culprit in the corrupted transcription of estrogens and female diseases. Breast health suffers from this product.
DNA is called the blueprint of life because it reads the instructions needed for you to grow, develop, survive and reproduce therefore It requires food that speaks the language of the genuine product!
Consistent positive choices grow from accurate information.
Rapid change is possible when you recognize where your specific choice points make life better rather than more complicated. A primary change can be simple, like choosing the genuine vegetable that your body can process rather than the vegetable that fills the plate but not the body.
Good job taking care of yourself!
